Our Approach: Puppy/dog is a commitment for the life of this animal. This animal is a companion for you and your family. Although there may be changes in your daily life with this puppy, with consistency it soon becomes habit. This animal must become a welcome and enjoyable part of your life. You need to make a bond/connection with your puppy/ dog, constantly work on that bond so that there is rapport with your puppy/dog. Always remember that they are a pack animal and as such you are the leader of the pack. There are many everyday things that we can do that subtlety show the puppy we are the leader. We will work on these as part of our training. Remember that even as the pup gets bigger and bigger, he is still a baby… with baby brains, baby attention, and baby knowledge. He doesn’t “know it” or “know better”. It is our job to teach him the rules of the game. And I’d rather praise and reward, rather than correct the pup. I am a very avid promoter of “Doing things with your dog”… Get active, train, you both can always learn something new..
EXPERIENCE: 35++years training dogs. In, fact I really started as a young child teaching the family dog silly tricks. I have been teaching dog classes since the 80’s. I have worked with big dogs, little dogs, young dogs, old dogs, and spoiled dogs.
Activities I participate: Tracking, Pointing Dog Hunt Tests, Agility and Conformation, Obedience and Rally. Currently learning in the areas of Nosework (NACSW) and Dock Diving.

My Accomplishments: AKC CGC evaluator , STAR Puppy Evaluator, AKC Trick Dog evaluator. I have multiple titles in AKC Obedience, Rally, Agility, AKC Conformation (CH’s), Hunt Tests, and Tracking, Canadian Kennel Club and UKC Obedience. Awarded Breeder of Merit with Si Si. Participated in Therapy Dogs International “Canine Company” in New York, and currently active with Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs. Volunteer for Vizsla Rescue and assisted in setting up The Vizsla Rescue of Texas organization (501c3). Active in local AKC Obedience, All-Breed, Specialty Breed and Tracking clubs. Member of the Vizsla Club of America, Southwest Tracking Association, and Toy Dog Club of Houston. Board member, Treasurer, and past Vice-President of the Texas Gulf Coast Vizsla Club; Past President and Vice-President of the West Houston Obedience Club. Currently the Corresponding Secretary and Show Chairman for the West Houston Obedience Club. Founding board member and Treasurer of the Vizsla Rescue of Texas.
